Your spot is held when you pay

A spot is yours once payment clears, not when we agree on a call. Until then it stays open and someone else can take it.

One business per category, per issue

While you're running, nobody else in your category appears on that issue unless you've explicitly given us perimssion to print a competitor's ad on the back. Exclusivity applies to the issue you've paid for. If you don't renew, the category opens up again.

Artwork

Free ad design is included in your price. Artwork materials (your logo, any photos you want used) are due within seven days of payment. If we don't hear from you, we'll build the ad from what we have rather than hold up the issue.

You can provide to us an ad you've designed, but we reserve the right to refuse or improve it. We discourage you from providing us with AI-generated ads.

You keep the rights to your logo and photos. You're telling us you're allowed to use them. We keep the rights to the ad layout itself if we've designed it. We may reuse the ad layout in future cards, wtih different colors, text and logos for another business.

Offers

You can edit your offer freely until you approve your ad. After that it's fixed for that issue so we can go to print on schedule.

The offer is between you and the customer. Honor what you published, and set an expiry date you're happy with.

Feel free to use a unique promo code so that when a customer uses it, you know they saw your ad on our card.

Mail dates

We publish a close date and a mail date and make all reasonable efforts to hold them, whether or not the card is full. Printing and delivery run through USPS EDDM and a national print vendor, so delivery windows are theirs rather than ours. Cards are typically delivered over the span of several days.

What we count, and what we don't promise

We report scans of your QR code. We deduplicate repeat scans from the same visitor within 24 hours, and we exclude bots and link-preview fetchers. Those definitions are fixed and we won't change them retroactively.

We don't promise a number of scans, calls or customers. Nobody honestly can. What we promise is that the number you see is the number we measured, counted the same way every issue.

Your code keeps working

Your QR codes keep working after you stop advertising, so cards already on people's fridges don't turn into dead ends. They point wherever you tell us to send them, and you can change that at any time without reprinting anything. Ask us and we'll switch a code off.

Cancelling

You can stop after any issue. Once an issue has closed, that issue is paid for and going to print. If you've committed to a run, you'll pay in full at the start to lock in multi-issue pricing.

If we don't mail it, you get your money back

If for any reason we don't send an issue you've paid for, you get a full refund for that issue. Not a credit, not a partial, not a spot on a later card unless that's what you'd rather have. The money goes back to the card you paid with.

That covers anything on our end: not enough businesses to run the issue, a print or mailing problem, or us cancelling. If you paid up front for a run of issues and we only mail some of them, you're refunded for the ones we didn't mail. You don't have to ask, but if we've missed one, tell us and we'll fix it.
